We have one mission at our core: to equip all Dutch people with the knowledge to take life-saving action. This mission starts with you. Our interactive first aid course, led by passionate young doctors, takes you through the do's and don'ts of various medical emergencies in just three hours. From burns to CPR, we cover it all - with lifelike dolls and support from a handy app. Upon completion, you'll receive a 2-year certificate.
Our first aid and life-saving courses:
- First Aid for Babies and Children: "Shocks & Pumps" was developed with pediatricians, focusing on immediate action in life-threatening situations in babies and children, with simulations and distinction between apparent and actual seriousness. Also available as a customized first aid course for childcare and ehbo for guest parents.
- First Aid for Maternity Care and Newborn Babies: Specific training for maternity caregivers. Learn to recognize a(seriously) ill child and act correctly in acute life-threatening situations Accreditation points available.
- First Aid in Adults: Short course developed by Emergency Physicians. Learn the key practical skills to save an adult's life.
- First Aid for Medical professionals: Accredited training for (para-medics) tailored to medical language and thinking level. E-learning module and practical training with various scenarios.
- First Aid for Sports Accidents: First aid course designed specifically for the sports world, taking into account common accidents in athletes.
Get your first aid certificate in 3 hours:
All of our first aid courses take a two-part approach. Students begin with e-learning at their own pace, limiting hands-on training to just 3 hours. This minimizes employee absences and simplifies the scheduling process.
Incompany customized first aid courses:
We offer in-company first aid courses nationwide, starting from 6 participants, with a maximum of 12 students per group. Multiple groups simultaneously is not a problem for us. Our courses are customized to your specific business needs for seamless integration to your business situation.
Experienced medical teachers:
Our instructors, all of whom are experienced physicians or co-assistants, bring practical experience to cover a wide range of realistic scenarios during the course. This not only makes the training instructive but also extremely realistic.

Course content
The primary focus of this course is life-saving.
- We want to show during the course that acting acutely in some life-threatening situations is of unimaginable importance. Therefore, we have chosen to cover common (life-threatening) conditions.
- The course is an alternation of theory and practice.
- Content is based on current guidelines used in the Emergency Department (ED) and/or general practice (NHG). Do these guidelines change? If so, we will adjust our course content as well.
- The course is adapted so that anyone without medical knowledge or prior training can participate.

Life-saving action (first aid) certificate
- Upon completion of the course, each student receives a first aid certificate signed by the physician instructors. This certificate is valid for 2 years. In the case of a child care or guest parent first aid course this certificate is from het oranje kruis
Course duration
- The full Schok & Pomp First Aid course lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Always an up-to-date overview of the workforce. No more manually passing in and out of service lists! All certificates are directly visible and stored in the employee's profile. Through the AFAS connection, we know which certificates are about to expire and who needs to be scheduled for training.
Incompany training
We provide in-company training throughout the Netherlands at your own location. Useful to discuss specific scenarios appropriate to your industry during a first aid training.

With our open enrollment training courses, it's easy to connect: a new employee can quickly attend a single training course for First Aid or First Responder Training , in an existing group training course at locations throughout the Netherlands.
