Training: CPR & AED
This CPR and use AED course is being specially organized in cooperation with the Dordtse Amusements Vereniging Onder Spoorwegpersoneel (D.A.V.O.S.). The training costs € 30 p.p. and will take place on Wednesday, June 19, from 10:00 to 12:00 at the D.A.V.O.S. location: Stationsplein 2, 3311 JV Dordrecht.
Upon completion of the training, you will receive a CPR & AED certificate valid for two years.
The CPR & AED training was designed by several physicians with work experience in the Emergency Department. In this two-hour training you will learn how to act in case of a medical emergency.
The topics were chosen based on how common serious conditions are AND whether someone without prior medical training can still make a difference. The course is to-the-point, nicely paced and fun to follow.
We focus particularly on: how to recognize it and what to do. Because all instructors are doctors or residents, they can explain the relevance of the actions well. What you will not learn during this course is how to apply plasters, pierce blisters or put on a sling.
The training
The training consists of two parts: a preparatory e-learning and a subsequent practical training. During the two-hour practical training, theory is alternated with exercises. In this way it remains an interactive course and actions are practiced directly when it is explained how to apply them.
We use state-of-the-art CPR dummies that show directly through an APP what you can do to improve CPR. This way everyone gets personalized feedback.
