Schok & Pomp Medical trainings include First Responder Training and First Aid for Babies and Children training. We work exclusively with instructors who have practical experience: doctors, co-assistants with Emergency Department experience or Intensive Care Nurses. But also the management around the teaching staff gets (medical) issues on their desk that they would like to present to a doctor.

In this live webinar, physician and founder Bernard Leenstra discusses:

  • The RS virus and norovirus: what's the difference and can we prevent it?
  • Children with backpacks: how to prepare pedagogical staff for this?
  • Homeopathic remedies: to allow or not to allow in daycare?

Sign up for this webinar, learn about the medical perspective on these topics in an approachable way, and ask any questions you have!

What topics will be covered in this webinar? We will delve into important medical issues at play within the child care industry. Dr. Bernard Leenstra, family physician at Schok & Pomp, will explain the difference between the RS virus and norovirus and whether prevention is possible. We will also discuss how pedagogical staff can be prepared for children with extra care needs and whether homeopathic remedies have a place within child care.

By attending this webinar, anyone involved in safety, quality and education within child care can learn about the medical perspective on these topics. These insights can then assist in making thoughtful choices in the workplace.

Besides his job as medical director, Bernard Leenstra (32) founder of Schok & Pomp Medical Trainings, is also a general practitioner. His experiences as a doctor in the Emergency Room (ED), where he often saw victims who would have benefited from proper on-site first aid, inspired him to teach everyone in the Netherlands about first aid. An important subject within that is children's first aid. Everyone who has children or works with children should know what to do if something happens to a child. Bernard would like to contribute to improving that knowledge.
