This adult first aid and life-saving course was designed by several physicians with work experience in the Emergency Department. In this short course, you will learn how to act in case of a medical emergency.

Life-saving procedures for adults
Our first aid course is unique and practical because it was developed based on an analysis of the most common accidents within Dutch organizations (CBS and StatLine). As a result, only the really useful parts for a first aider are covered.
Customized first aid training in-company
If we provide in-company first aid training at your location (starting from 6 people), we can always adapt the content or examples of the course to your situation, for example, by including common risks in the training, or dealing with previously experienced accidents.
Structure of adult first aid training
First aid e-learnings
Once you register, you will receive an e-learning within 24 hours. You can go through this e-learning at your own pace at your convenience. By dividing the training, first aid repeat students can go through the e-learning at a faster pace, and novice first aiders can absorb the information at their leisure. In this e-learning all topics are covered and you can make the theory your own. This e-learning takes an average of 3 hours.
First aid practical training
The second part is the practical training. During the 3 hours of practical training, much time is spent practicing the competencies, such as CPR itself and the use of the AED. During the training there is also room for specific questions: you probably have an idea which example you would like to cover during the training. Or questions that resonate with your colleagues. Because all our teachers are doctors and residents, they can answer any question from practice. We will contact you before the training and discuss specific needs.
First aid course in half a day
By splitting e-learning and hands-on training, you are effectively only 3 hours away from work, having completed the e-learning at your convenience. This is ideal for companies with busy schedules, timetables or shifts. The topics were chosen based on how common serious illnesses are AND whether someone without prior medical training can still make a difference. The course is to-the-point, nicely paced and fun to follow.
We focus particularly on: how to recognize it and what to do. Because all instructors are doctors, they can explain to you the relevance of what to do. What you will not learn during this course is band-aids, piercing blisters or putting on a sling.

The instructors at Schok & Pomp are physicians or interns. They have experience working with patients during medical emergencies. Thus, they speak from experience and know how to act in these situations. They can also answer questions or examples that do not necessarily belong to the topics.

It was a very nice instructor, was open to questions and nothing was crazy. Explained very clearly and well with also a little deepening of the material and some medical background here and there. Very useful and interesting.
