Schok & Pomp:
First Responder Training Basic
On the foundation of Schok & Pomp Lifesaving was designed the company first aidFirst Responder Training) course. This course is suitable for training employees to ensure the health and safety of co-workers and others present during an emergency.
An analysis of accidents and mishaps within organizations in the Netherlands (via Central Bureau of Statistics and StatLine) has enabled Schok & Pomp to develop a uniquely applicable course. The focus here is: what is actually useful to teach a BHVer? After all, extinguishing a fire is relevant in a manufacturing environment, but in many modern businesses or practices, changing work environments have created other hazards. Smoking has long been prohibited in the office so the trash can fire caused by a smoldering cigarette butt is actually no longer common. Also, when a fire starts, the fire department regularly advises to evacuate, not to go out and put out the fire themselves....
What is much more relevant today, with "hybrid" working and digital age, is the early recognition of (near) burnout in a colleague. We offer tips on how to deal with such a colleague. Burnout and overwork are major causes of long-term sick leave within organizations. In short, this course focuses on common (life-threatening) medical conditions, prevention of unnecessary absenteeism and effective evacuation.
The training
The training consists of 2 parts.
Once you register, you will receive an e-learning. You can read it online. It covers all topics and allows you to make the theory your own.
The second part is the practical training of 3 hours, which we give at your location (in-company) starting from 6 persons, at our own training location in Utrecht (registration per person possible).
During hands-on training, much time is spent practicing competencies such as CPR itself and using the AED.
Upon completion of the practical training, each participant receives a First Responder Training certificate in their name.
Custom
Every training is customized; you probably have an idea what specific example you would like to cover during the training. Or questions that are prevalent among your colleagues. Because all of our instructors are physicians and residents, they can answer any practical questions. We will contact you prior to the training and discuss specific requirements.
