Shock & Pump

In collaboration with physicians from the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital and Princess Maxima Center, we have developed the "Shocks& Pumps" course, designed specifically for daycare providers and host parents. The focus here is on life-saving intervention for babies and children.

Life-saving action

This first aid course for host parents focuses on being able to act confidently in acutely life-threatening situations. We simulate scenarios that may specifically occur in a home environment. Learn the difference between situations that seem serious and are actually serious, such as febrile seizures - rarely life-threatening but distressing to witness. This course goes beyond basic first aid and does not cover simple actions such as band-aids, piercing blisters or putting on a sling.

Contents of the First Aid for Guest Parents course

E-learning pediatric first aid: After signing up, you will receive an e-learning module within 24 hours. This allows you to acquire the required knowledge at your own pace. By splitting up the training, first aid refresher students can go through the e-learning quickly, while novice first aiders can go through the information at their leisure. This e-learning covers all relevant topics for your industry.

Pediatric First Aid Practical Class: During the 3-hour training, theory is interspersed with exercises, keeping the course interactive. Actions are practiced directly after explaining how to apply them. We use state-of-the-art CPR manikins that use an app to instantly show how to improve CPR. This way each participant gets personalized feedback.

Customized first aid training in-company

In addition to our standard training in Utrecht, we also offer in-company training starting at 6 students. When we give the first aid training for babies and children at your location, we adapt the content to your specific situation. This can be done, for example, by including common risks in the training or by discussing previous accidents. The training can also be specifically adapted to your protocols. Ask about the possibilities.

Open enrollment requires a minimum number of students of 6. If this number is not reached, an alternative course time will be chosen.
