Schok & Pomp:
CPR and use of AED
This course CPR and use AED is organized especially for residents of Nico van Koomanskade , on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 20:00 to 22:00, at Veerlaan 7b, 3072 AN Rotterdam. The cost of the training is € 30. Upon completion of the training you will receive a Reanimation & AED certificate that is valid for two years.
This training was designed by several physicians with work experience in the Emergency Department. In this two-hour training you will learn how to act in case of a medical emergency. Upon registration, you will also receive access to a preparatory e-learning.
The topics were chosen based on how common serious conditions are AND whether someone without prior medical training can still make a difference. The course is to-the-point, nicely paced and fun to follow.
We focus particularly on: how to recognize it and what to do. Because all instructors are doctors or residents, they can explain the relevance of the actions well. What you will not learn during this course is how to apply plasters, pierce blisters or put on a sling.
The training
The training consists of two parts: a preparatory e-learning and the practical training. During the two-hour practical training, theory is alternated with exercises. In this way it remains an interactive course and actions are practiced directly when it is explained how to apply them.
We use state-of-the-art CPR dummies that show directly through an APP what you can do to improve CPR. This way everyone gets personalized feedback.

Teachers
The instructors at Schok & Pomp are physicians or interns. They have experience working with patients during medical emergencies. Thus, they speak from experience and know how to act in these situations. They can also answer questions or examples that do not necessarily belong to the topics.
