Description
First Aid and Lifesaving Combi First Responder Training
This course first aid and life-saving treatment for adults, combined with First Responder Training, will be given Monday evening, February 10, 2025, especially for Puur Oost. Entrepreneurs Association Puur Oost offers you this training for only €7,50 as an entrepreneur in Utrecht Oost. Please fill in your address when registering, so it is clear that you are an entrepreneur in Utrecht Oost.
We will give the training at Schok & Pomp's own training location, Koningin Wilhelminalaan 5 in Utrecht. There is room for a maximum of 12 participants.
At the end of first aid training, we also cover First Responder Training topics, such as fire and evacuation. So if that is what you need as a business owner, this is an excellent combination. At the end you will receive a First Aid certificate and if you have also followed the First Responder Training component, a First Aid and First Responder Training.
The training was designed by several doctors with work experience in the Emergency Department. In this short course you will learn how to act in case of a medical emergency and how to operate an AED.
The topics were chosen based on how common serious conditions are AND whether someone without prior medical training can still make a difference. The course is to-the-point, nicely paced and fun to follow.
We focus particularly on: how to recognize it and what to do. Because all instructors are doctors, they can explain to you the relevance of what to do. What you will not learn during this course is band-aids, piercing blisters or putting on a sling.
The training
The training consists of 2 parts.
Preliminary e-learning
As soon as you register, you will receive an e-learning. You can read it online. It covers all the topics and allows you to make the theory your own. You will receive both the e-learning "Life-saving and First Aid for Adults" and the First Responder Training Basic e-learning. If you also want to obtain a First Responder Training certificate, you will go through both e-learnings. Otherwise, only "Life-Saving and Adult First Aid" is sufficient.
Practical Training
The second part is the practical training from 19:00 - 22:00 on Monday, February 10, 2025. When registering, you can choose the more convenient date. The First Responder Training will take approximately the last hour.
During hands-on training, much time is spent practicing competencies such as CPR itself and using the AED.
Because all of our instructors are physicians and medical intern , they can answer any real-world question.

Teachers
The instructors at Schok & Pomp are physicians or residents. They have experience working with patients during medical emergencies. Thus, they speak from experience and know how to act in these situations. They can also answer questions or examples that are not necessarily part of the topics.
