First aid Sports and Life saving

An unfortunate slide on the soccer field, a field hockey ball hitting your face, a spectator becoming unwell along the line. Good if coaches, volunteers, your team and club members know what to do, and everyone also knows how to use the AED hanging in the clubhouse.

This First Aid Sports and Life-Saving Course was designed by several doctors with work experience in the Emergency Department. In this short course you will learn how to act in case of a medical emergency.

First aid Sports and Life saving

Our first aid course is unique and practically applicable because we go through all the knowledge using relevant sports scenarios. This way, the course material is covered in recognizable situations and students can also suggest scenarios they would like to go through themselves. One of the advantages of having a resident or doctor as a teacher, they can answer all scenarios.

Customized first aid training in-company

If we conduct the First Aid Sport training at your location (from 6 people upwards), we can always adapt the content or examples of the course to your situation, for example, by including common risks in the training, or dealing with previously experienced accidents.

Structure of first aid sports and life-saving action training

First aid sports e-learning

Once you register, you will receive an e-learning within 24 hours. You can go through this e-learning at your own pace. The preparatory e-learning allows repeat students to go through the e-learning at a faster pace, and beginning first aiders to absorb the information at their leisure. The e-learning takes about 3 hours to complete.

First aid sports practical training

The second part is the practical training. During the 3 hours of practical training, much time is spent practicing the competencies, such as CPR itself and the use of the AED. During the training there is also room for specific questions: you probably have an idea which example you would like to cover during the training. Or questions that resonate with your team members or clubmates. Because all of our instructors are physicians and residents, they can answer any practical question. We will contact you before the training and discuss specific needs.

First aid sports course in half a day

Because of the split of e-learning and practical training, the practical training only takes 3 hours, after you complete the e-learning. This is ideal for sports clubs because it means that the practical training can be done on a weekday evening.
The topics were chosen based on how often serious injuries occur and whether someone without prior medical training can still make a difference. The course is to-the-point, nicely paced and fun to follow.

We focus particularly on: how to recognize it and what to do. Because all instructors are doctors, they can explain to you the relevance of what to do. What you will not learn during this course is band-aids, piercing blisters or putting on a sling.
